Here is the 2018 line up

Put yer dancin’ boots on, y’all, because we’ve got an outstanding lineup of LIVE music to provide the soundtrack to the Ridgefield Gone Country BBQ Fest!  You’ll hear Southern rock, blues, classic & contemporary country, bluegrass, rock, & of course, good ole’ rhythm & blues.

School of Rock

The School of Rock’s “House Band” is comprised of truly talented and hardworking rock musicians age 10 to 18 from Ridgefield and nearby towns. They are considered the “all stars” of the school, and are used to playing in prestigious events and venues. With a set list of classic and modern rock favorites that are sure to get a crowd rocking, these kids are performers to watch out for!

Jerome Goosman

Jerome is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Wilton, CT. Born in 1990 in Seattle, Washington, then growing up in Austin, Texas, he absorbed a wide range of musical styles from jazz and blues to rock, pop, country, and alternative rock. After studying guitar for many years and pursuing jazz in college, he eventually found his calling as a songwriter. His lyrics are genuine, heartfelt, and rooted in personal experiences. He is currently based out of southern Fairfield County, Connecticut and regularly ventures into New York to perform at such venues as The Bitter End in Greenwich Village.

Gender Mutiny

Kirby Athurston of Gender Mutiny is a Danbury, CT native with a wide vocal range and a sharp turn of musical ranging styles. With orginals varying from Alternative, Hard Rock, Gothic Folk, and Experimental. Eclectic & spirited; he has a massive onslaught of covers of indie bands such as: The Kills, The
White Stripes, Placebo, The Dresden Dolls, of Montreal, and PJ Harvey. While also covering classics: The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Peral Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath and so on. A collaborative solo artist, he’s constantly working with others and switching his line-up between shows.
A Sound Technician for QGM, he co-runs an open mic with fellow astute percussionist & QGM Founder, Quinton Gelderman, on Sundays at Widow Browns Cafe in Danbury. Also he hosted the first ever live on radio Open Mic in April 2017 for 91.7 WXCI~ Music In Your Shoes while also being an occasional DJ host.

Mackensie and Caitlin

We are a female duo from Danbury, CT who began playing together about 7 years ago. Our main focus is original folk and alternative music, however, we do also enjoy covering classic tunes that everyone is familiar with!

Fiction

Ethan James is an active CT based performing artist combining raspy vocals with folky melodies and guitar. He also fronts the CT based band “Fiction”

Matt Pop

 Matthew is a singer/songwriter from Orange, CT. He started singing at an early age and picked up the guitar when he was 13. Matthew enjoyed many different kinds of music growing up, but country became his passion. In high school he developed a love for songwriting, turning emotions and experiences into music. During college, he started the band Post No Bills and since its formation they have played all across Connecticut. Matthew continues to write music and plays both with his band and on his own.

Emma Kiera

Emma Kiara and Chris Finch are two young musicians, playing an eclectic mix of songs including blues, soul, alternative and bluegrass, bringing a unique feel to each. They’ve played a few gigs around town with an extremely enthusiastic response, gaining more recognition with each show. Their original music is sprinkled into their set, adding in a dynamic new vibe. The fun they have when performing is infectious, their sound is upbeat yet quite smooth. Their set is not to be missed!

SUNDAY, 5/6

 Whiskey Brothers

Whiskey Brothers hail from the Greater Danbury Area and have been on the music scene in various forms for well over 20 years.  Their latest incarnation finds them putting their musical talents into all acoustic renditions of favorites across many different musical genres – from classic rock to modern alternative.  They can be reached on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/whiskeybrothersacoustic/ and regularly appear at Widow Brown’s Cafe in Brookfield and Barnwood Grill in Newtown.

Erik Krieg

Erik Krieg learned how to sing by singing terribly and constantly. A self-trained guitarist, Erik creates music that fosters an intimate environment between himself and the audience that is comfortable and honest, like the sharing of secrets among friends. When he isn’t making music, Erik is usually practicing for the summer bowling league or playing with his cat, Normin. He makes it a point to read at least one news article a day, and still holds out hope that unicorns do exist.

Auguste and Alden

Band Members (Auguste Sachse – Skidd/lead vocals & bass, Alden Sachse – Skidd/lead vocals & guitar, Sean Lemkey/vocals & drums)

Auguste and Alden are a brother and sister duo who passionately write and perform their own original music for the past decade.  Their unique sound is full of intricate blood harmonies and creative musical arrangements.  Auguste and Alden have toured nationally with their family band and now have honed an authentic sound.  Their passion to make music is evident by their catalog of over 70 original songs they have written, produced and recorded.
